Because let’s be real, what’s cuter than a tiny tot rocking a tiny trendy hat, right?!

But with two boys, ages 11 and 13, the Ottaway crew is long past the chubby baby cheeks phase of parenting. And yet they found themselves in an endless hunt for infant-sized hats for their growing pre-teen.

Meet Dylan, an 11-year old rockstar with big personality and a tiny little noggin. Dylan was born with Microcephaly – a genetic disorder making his pre-teen dome a mini marvel, measuring the same size as a 3 to 6-month old.  Despite the developmental and medical challenges of this rare brain disorder, the Ottaways have been unwavering in creating a world of love, friendship, and style for Dylan that’s as epic as he is! One long-time struggle has been to find 6-month-sized headwear that doesn’t look like it was designed for a 6-month-old baby. Because no kid wants to wear a teady bear cap to Middle School! When Dylan first donned a hat that resembled something his older brother would wear, he looked in the mirror and exclaimed “SO COOL!”

And...Cool Little Hats by Cedarstitch Designs was born.

Our Infant-sized Trucker Hats are all high quality and adjustable with a “snapback” closure made to fit kids ages 0 - 3 or individuals with a head circumference between 17" and 20" (43 to 50 cm). The patches are all created, digitized, small-batch embroidered, and pressed with love in our Newberg, Oregon embroidery studio.
